Hard to believe that the McTimoney College of Chiropractic is now 50 years old and throughout this period we have gone from strength to strength. Founded by John McTimoney in 1972 we are one of the oldest established chiropractic colleges in the UK, and indeed the world. Founded on Palmer principles, we have stayed true to the original roots of chiropractic whilst developing into an independent higher education institution with campuses in both Abingdon and Manchester, recognised by the Office for Students, the Quality Assurance Agency, the General Chiropractic Council, and the European Council for Chiropractic Education. And in the animal world, we offer the only Master’s level qualification in animal chiropractic in the world and are accredited by the Register for Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners (RAMP) and the Animal Health Professions Register (AHPR).
We think John McTimoney would be proud of the College today – highly accredited, delivering unique programmes designed to support access to education and, importantly, continuing to graduate the chiropractors of the future!
